Cantaritos de barro are traditional clay cups that are staples of street fairs in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Known by locals as “the best way to drink tequila,” the namesake cocktail is made by rimming the cup with lime juice and chili salt, squeezing fresh lemon, lime, and grapefruit juice in the cup, and adding a splash of tequila blanco and grapefruit soda. The handmade clay cups keep cocktails cold and evoke generations of traditional fun.
