The Specimen Collecting Kit was designed and developed to share a love of collecting, observing, and preserving memories from outdoor adventures. Collect and preserve specimens found in the field with the pocket-sized tin, then use the contents to prepare, encapsulate, and display your finds. This kit helps you to organize your hard-to-find treasures, and protects your nature finds in the field and during travel so they safely arrive home. Use cardboard or tissue paper to protect and separate specimens.
Details:
Sustainability:
Each included element is intended for repeated use, from the pocket-size tin and the glass display bottles to the stainless pins and tweezers. The glass is curbside recyclable; however, please follow local guidelines for safely recycling glass curbside.
Collect Responsibly:
Respect the environment and its offerings and leave no trace behind. Never trespass; know where you can and can’t take from nature. Know before you go and follow all local, state, and federal laws. Minimize what you collect so as not to disturb a microhabitat. Never collect live insects.
Founded in 2012, June & December was started with an adventurous spirit and the idea that the most memorable gifts have a meaningful story to tell. Katie & Nick aspire to have their goods remind you of a recent adventure, a memorable dinner, or a fond childhood memory and hope to connect with you as they celebrate the many ways nature connects us. Katie's an astute student of nature and collector of clipped sprigs and forest finds; her artwork celebrates and explores the natural wonder found all around us.
