The wonderful world of cooking awaits. Here you’ll find sizzling sounds, wondrous smells and delicious flavors—all made by you.
The hope with this kids collection is simple: that people of all ages will spend more time and enjoy the time spent cooking. It’s not about perfecting a skill. It’s about exploring new flavors and textures, embracing messes and silly moments, passing on traditions and building confidence. This cooking set helps to capture all of the creativity and spontaneity in the kitchen, just in a smaller size.
Material Kitchen took one of their bestselling tools, The Air Whisk, and created a bite-sized version, perfectly sized for younger cooks, To go alongside it, they designed a petite spatula for all the mixing, scraping and tasting that’s a part of any cooking adventure. For The Cook Deck, they enlisted the assistance of cookbook author Joshua David Stein and illustrator Erin Jang, to design a cooking game that makes it easy (and fun) to make recipes with kids of all ages. The deck is a highly visual, and highly delightful card game that involves piecing together the steps to the recipe and layering in delicious and interesting ingredients along the way.
Details:
Material Kitchens co-founder, Eunice, spent hours in the kitchen as a little girl, learning recipes from her parents and fixing herself snacks after school. Now, as a parent herself, to two young daughters, cooking together is an opportunity for connection and learning. Material’s products are designed in-house, sourced from the highest quality materials, and designed to be collected and coveted for years to come. Their products are aesthetically and functionally superior, made for every day, built to last, and fairly priced despite their luxurious essence. The founders Eunice & David are Korean and Vietnamese, respectively; feeding and eating with family are central to both of their cultures, and they carry this in all that they do.
